My skins are mostly chrome and made in 3D.
Hmm... Get a wrong message now when I´m trying to start DesktopX????
I think it has something to do with a dll file or something... not sure... Didn´t work to repair or reinstall it either!
Anyone know how to fix it... my skin was JUST ready when this shit began!

What is the exact error message?  Sounds like you are trying to load a corrupt theme.  Move the theme that you are trying to load out of the folder, start from a blank DX theme, then change themes.  If it works then it's the theme that you moved out.

In a few cases I have seen of this problem the cause has been a shortcut that iconx is having problems with. Resolution is fairly simple in those cases. Move all shortcuts to a temporary folder and try DesktopX again afterwards. If this works then move them back a few at a time to try and narrow down the exact shortcut. It's most likely to be one that was added immediately before it started giving errors.

Once you track it down please send the info to stardock so they can see if they can work out what is going wrong.

desktop shortcuts. The error you refer to is usually caused by iconx. Make a new folder on the desktop and move all the non-standard shortcuts off the desktop into that. Then try desktopx again.
